Pacy “Ski” Handlovsky
Guitar/Vocals
Ski’s guitar playing and range of song material
is exceptional. Besides guitar duties, Ski also performs many songs
from Hank Williams to Jimmy Buffet. A crowd favorite is Ski’s
rendition of “Auctioneer”.
Jim Rider
Guitar/Vocals
Jim’s rhythm guitar playing and vocals round out Southern Specific. Rhythm guitar is a very important part of a band, so to have Jim on guitar is a real advantage. Jim also seems to know just about every country song ever recorded.
Matt Morris
Lead
Guitar/Vocals
Matt took over lead guitar duties at Sparky's passing. Matt has fronted the band since inception, but was originally a rhythm guitar player.
Bill Borden
Bass/Vocals
It is said that the backbone of a band is the bassist…and that’s the truth. Bill’s playing is right on time with appropriate runs for the songs we perform. Bill also helps fill out with backing vocals.
Bob Nelson
Drums/Vocals
A talented drummer to be sure, Bob always has
the right rhythms for the songs we perform. Bob’s use of a “cocktail”
kit helps drive the Southern Specific sound, lending a full drum kit
sound in a compact package. Bob also fills in with
backing vocals.
A Word from Matt-
If it wasn't for the talented guys that share the
stage with me, Southern Specific would not exist. Their dedication
to the music, and their friendship mean the world to me. Thanks guys...for
making it work.
What We're Up To-
Which, in itself is a scary thought. We have been asked about recording a CD, and we're talking about what to record, etc. As many of you know, my "real" job is in the TV and radio production field so we already have a place to record. If there's something you'd like us to include in a CD...please drop us a line.
